The Variant is a short story by screenwriter John August, available for 99 cents in Kindle and PDF flavors.
He’s made the first 13 pages (a little less than half of the entire work) available as a free sample, which I estimate to be the most efficient way imaginable to convince someone to purchase the full story. I would have paid much more. 99 cents is a pittance.
To that end: if you’d like a quick, smart, intriguing read, then I suggest you forgo the sample and just buy it. It’s good. Real good.

Ég keypti þessa smásögu - ég meina, $0.99 er ekki neitt, sama hversu fkd gengið er.
Mjög skemmtileg saga - vel skrifuð… John August er í miklu uppáhaldi hjá mér - aðallega þar sem hann skrifaði Go (sem er uppáhalds myndin mín).
Ég væri til í að sjá fleiri handritshöfunda gera eitthvað svipað.
